In vitro research shows that tyrosine is a mixture of peptides composed of 50% -70% tyrosine and 25% -50% gramineae glycosides. Tyrosine is an alkaline cyclic peptide, while tryptase is a neutral linear peptide. In addition to physiological and essential L-amino acids, tyrosine also contains D-amino acids [1]. Tyrosine is produced by Gram positive aerobic Bacillus subtilis (strain ATCC 8185) during the sporulation stage through a non ribosomal pathway. The spectrum of action of tyrosinase mainly includes Gram positive bacteria and several Gram negative bacteria. Corynebacterium and Staphylococcus have a wider range of inhibitory effects on tyrosinase (2-256 μ G/mL). Compared with the guanidine component alone, tyrosinase exhibits a maximum concentration of 128 μ It can inhibit all Staphylococcus at g/mL. Among Gram negative bacteria, gonococcus and meningococcus are the most sensitive bacteria (96 μ G/mL) [1]. The bactericidal effect of tyrosinase on various Candida species shows its anti infective activity against the parainfluenza virus (Sendai type).
In vivo studies using animal models of HSV-1 type showed that pre incubation of virus suspension with tyrosinase significantly reduced the lethality of mice. This effect can only be manifested after direct contact between tyrosinase and the virus [1]. However, high concentrations of tyrosinase in vitro can disrupt the integrity of eukaryotic cell membranes. This effect has been confirmed to be the hemolytic activity of tyrosinase in vitro studies and in animals injected intravenously.. Compared with intravenous injection (LD50 mice: 3,7 mg/kg) and intraperitoneal injection (LD50 mice: 20-45 mg/kg), oral administration has good tolerance because tyrosine is disrupted in the gastrointestinal tract.
